      Our Accounting Office Specialist program is a 9 month full-time program based on a specialized curriculum designed to offer students a focused set of skills necessary that are perform in the computerized accounting office environment.

      Graduates of this program will become skilled contributors to the efficient operation of any accounting office through their knowledge of data entry, filing, 10-key, word processing, mathematics, computer operation and a wide variety of current accounting software and database programs. Students are introduced to computer applications including, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point, in addition to general office procedures, business writing, and organizational behavior.

      Students will learn the fundamentals of keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, email, Internet, presentation, web page design, manual and computerized bookkeeping, payroll, and office procedures that will introduce students to the general process used in an office. This program is a good start for those who have been out of the workforce for some time, career changers or for those just entering the workforce.

      The successful student will become a versatile, well rounded individual capable of performing general office duties, moderate computer work, and accounting duties, including payroll. Graduates of this program may find entry-level employment as office workers for businesses in all sectors of the economy (manufacturing, wholesale, retail, non-profit, service) and in a wide variety of positions.

      • All classes are held daily, Monday through Thursday morning and evening.

    • Computer Office Specialist

      Our Computer Office Specialist program combines complete and accurate coverage of the skills used by administrative assistants in a professional organization.

      This program emphasizes on office procedures that will introduce students to the general process, will learn the fundamentals of keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, email, Internet, presentation, web page design, manual and computerized bookkeeping, payroll, and office procedures that will introduce students to the general process used in an office environment.

      This program is a good start for those who have been out of the workforce for some time, career changers or for those just entering the workforce. Possible positions include: administrative assistant, entry-level secretary, office assistant, receptionist, entry-level accounts clerk and administrative support clerk.

      • All classes are held daily, Monday through Friday morning and evening.

    • Legal Office Specialist

      Our Legal Office Specialist program is designed to teach students the skills and essentials abilities to law firms, specialized training for those who plan a career in a legal office profession that requires extensive knowledge of office skills and computer applications. This program focuses on how legal offices function and how Legal Office Specialist are expected to work within them.

      Students complete tasks relating to a variety of different files and develop their professional communication and time/task management skills. Legal Office Specialist is a program designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential to law firms, judicial offices, trust departments at financial institutions, and the general administrative career field. Graduates of this program will be able to perform a variety of legal, accounting, and clerical functions.

      The student will be able to transcribe legal documents. They will learn how to use computerized spreadsheets and database systems. They will learn how to create presentation material using desktop publishing software, maintain computerized filing and inventory systems and able to create correspondence documents using computer word processing software and access information using Internet and www.
      Training includes classroom lecture as well as laboratory time for skills development. Successful students should be capable of performing a variety of duties, such as typing, filing, transcribing, word processing, report and letter preparation, legal statements and legal document preparation, legal forms preparation, accounting, and other duties related to the legal office profession.

      The Legal Office Specialist fit in well in a legal office, courthouse, or other legal office setting, but would also be in high demand in most office settings, particularly those with a high degree of responsibility

  • Medical Office Specialist

    Our Medical Office Specialist Program prepares a graduate to work as an entry-level medical front office assistant, receptionist, medical billing and collections, appointment scheduler or medical records clerk in a variety of healthcare settings including physicians’ offices, physician medical centers, clinics, hospitals,  nursing home ambulatory care centers, and medical billing offices.

    This Program is designed specifically to provide students with necessary office management and technical skills to become an integral part of the professional office environment. The students are trained in areas including medical terminology, computer applications, and basic medical front office functions. Start your medical career. Learn administrative duties such as updating medical records filling insurance forms, and scheduling appointments.

        • All classes are held daily, Monday through Friday morning and evening.

    • Intensive English Language Program

      Our Intensive English Language Program is designed for adult students whose first language is other than English (ESOL) and who are seeking proficiency in English as a second language their native language serves as a foundation for English language acquisition. The goal of this program is to develop receptive (listening/reading) skills and expressive (speaking/writing) skills in order to facilitate continued education, obtain job placement, or achieve job mobility. These skills are based on a program that utilizes an integrated approach while targeting specific language skills at specific levels of ability. The program is divided into three levels that operate as follows:

      Level 1:  Function in a very limited way in situations related to immediate needs; understand frequently used words in context and very simple phrases spoken slowly and with some repetition; communicate with no difficulty.

      Level 2: Satisfy basic survival needs; participate in conversation in limited social situations; communicate with without hesitation, relying on description and concrete terms.

      Level 3: Understand and participate effectively in routine work and social situations; clarify general meaning and control basic grammar; communicate on familiar topics with no difficulty, although still lack control over complex structures.

          • All classes are held daily, Monday through Friday morning and evening.
